The influence of new scalp acupuncture according to Yamamoto on changes of pain threshold

    Summary

    New scalp acupuncture according to Yamamoto (YNSA) was compared with standard electroacupuncture for patients with shoulder pain. Ipsilateral YNSA treatment was found to give more effective pain relief than either contralateral YNSA or electroacupuncture.
